BE THE LIVING SACRIFICE GOD WANTS

ROMANS 12:1 “Present your body as a living sacrifice”
My dear brothers and Sisters in Christ, God is alive and he needs you to accomplish His will in this earth. We are the disciples of the Lord. I am pleased of what Apostle Paul said, that we have to offer ourselves as living sacrifices holy and pleasing to God, because for us in doing so,  it is our spiritual act of worships. Jesus followers must possess an intense passion to honor Him in every aspect of life. Out of gratitude to God for His mercy and salvation, that means we should be completely devoted in loving Him with all we have, say and do. We must live by God standard by loving and serving His purpose in our lives. Our goal should be to demonstrate God holiness, which means we need to be pure in our heart, without purity we shall never see God (Mathew 5: 8).
We require the total sacrifice of separating ourselves from the patterns of this world so we can develop and pursue a deeper relationship with God, we must realize that true godly worships is not simply an activity in the church service. It involves much more than singing   even speaking words of praise to God. Christians loving, serving and doings in the church involves a lifestyle that bring honor to God.  When we speak of the worships, worships becomes a true sacrifices when we take it outside  of church by living in way that truly honors, exalts and brings positive attention to God.  It is not necessarily a great to voice our worships to God in Church our people are gathered for that very purpose.
ROMANS 12:2 “Do not conform, but be transformed”
I hope what Paul implies here are several things happening in daily life basis:  There is really very pressure to conform to the things of this world in every aspects of our life.  As Christ followers, we must firmly resist the tendency to imitate and adopt the world’s ungodly ways of thinking and behavior that do not glorify God. The reason we need to resist and mind not the things of the world is, because they are full of it evil’s influence (Acts 2: 40). In this corrupt generation; no one can spiritually be save if he or she did not make a decision to refuse and turn away and not to participate to the patterns of this world.   New Christian should be taught to break of sinful relationships, give up ungodly practices that are common in the world, unite themselves to Christ and his people  and devote themselves to God’s purpose.
Finally, let us not conform any longer to the worldly standard, but let us change our direction and make a U –turn to the Lord’s way.
God bless you
